Department implements following functions.
- Ensures the implementation of collection, summarizing, elaboration, analysis and evaluation of current and output indicators of agricultural programs.
- Ensures the activities of provision of methodological support and development of handbooks for collection and elaboration of data for monitoring and evaluation of agricultural programs.
- Ensures coordination activities of insertion of proper administrative statistical reports (questionnaires, blanks, references, etc.,) for monitoring and evaluation of agricultural programs and execution of administrative statistical registers based on the collected data and information.
- Ensures the activities of collection, analysis, monitoring and evaluation of quarterly and annual reports received from structural and separate divisions of the Ministry characterizing the implementation level of financial and non-financial indicators of agricultural programs.
- Ensures the evaluation of agricultural programs’ process, impact and effectiveness for the management (planning, organizing, controlling) of monitoring process.
- Participates in the activities of elaboration of cooperation programs in the field of agriculture with international and non-governmental organizations.
- Participates in the activities of proposing suggestions for the annual drafting of government action plan and priority issues.
- Ensures the activities of composing references and consolidated reports concerning the implementation of agricultural programs.
- Ensures the evaluation of activities in agricultural sector conducted by marzpets (governor of the marz) of the Republic of Armenia.
- Ensures the composition of analytical and situational materials concerning the agricultural programs.
- Participates in the drafting of policies and legal acts in agricultural sector by the provision of agricultural reports.
- Participates in the process of supplementing and amending the legislation regulating the implementation of agricultural programs.
- Ensures the investigation of the questions raised in the citizens’ appeals, complaints and suggestions addressed and assigned to the department.
- By the directives of the Minister and the charter implements other authorities derived from the functions of its jurisdiction.
