Garnik Petrosyan, RA Deputy Minister of Agriculture, within the framework of activities to be undertaken by the Ministry of Agriculture towards preparation of spring agricultural works, held a regular consultation in Kotayk Marz on the purpose of discussion of issues concerning advisory system. 

 

The Deputy Minister drew attention of specialists and consultants on the need of inclusion of unused lands in the agricultural circulation, opportunities of the use of potential of productivity increase of agricultural crops. He emphasized the need of timely and proper provision of information to rural farms by the Ministry on types of assistance being provided, as well as ensuring transparency of their delivery.

 

Deputy Minister paid a special attention on the use of development opportunities of greenhouse farms in the marz. Agriculture Support Marz Center was suggested to make clear the availability of areas useful for construction of greenhouses, their sizes, obstacles existing in the process of achievement of the set goal, state of infrastructures, etc.  

 

Then he met with the workers of the Scientific Center of Industrial Crops. Deputy Minister followed the works of renovation and restoration of the broken greenhouses having not been used for a long time, preparation of the ground for sowing, construction of a water line, installation of a power line, and renovation of agricultural machinery.

 

Garnik Petrosyan gave a positive assessment to what was accomplished and exhorted H. Gasparyan to collaborate with the Scientific Center of Vegetable, Melon and Industrial Crops to organize some of the orders of production of tomato, egg-plant, pepper seedlings being implemented by the latter and meet demand of the rural farms of the marz.
